SmileDiary ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed and operated by Nanjing Xiaowei Technology Co., Ltd. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how SmileDiary handles your data.

SmileDiary is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information on our own servers. There are no user accounts, no registration required, and no advertising. We cannot access any of your data, nor do we sell or share your data with third parties.

We do not collect: (1) Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.); (2) Treatment data, photos, or diary entries; (3) Device identifiers or usage analytics; (4) Location data; (5) Cookies or tracking information. SmileDiary does not communicate with our servers, and we have no backend servers to store user data.

How your data is stored depends on the platform and version you use: • Android and HarmonyOS versions: All data is stored locally on your device only and never leaves your device. • iOS version: Data is stored locally on your device by default. If you are a Pro user and choose to enable iCloud sync, your data will be synced to your personal iCloud account (see next section). Regardless of the method, we cannot access your data.

iOS Pro subscription users can optionally enable iCloud sync. This is completely optional and requires manual activation. When enabled: (1) Your data is synced to your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework; (2) Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple; (3) Data is stored in your own iCloud account, not on our servers; (4) We cannot access your iCloud account or any data within it; (5) This feature is entirely managed and controlled by Apple's infrastructure. Data is stored locally only.

SmileDiary does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Payment processing for Pro subscriptions is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store, and we do not receive or store your payment information.

SmileDiary does not knowingly collect data from users of any age. Since we do not collect personal information, our app can be used by individuals under 18 with parental or guardian supervision for orthodontic treatment tracking purposes.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control: (1) You can view, edit, or delete your data at any time within the app; (2) You can export your data using the app's export feature; (3) Uninstalling the app will delete all local data; (4) If you use iCloud sync, you can manage your iCloud data through your Apple ID settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
